What is Next.js?
According to the documentation, Next.js is a powerful React framework for building full-stack web applications. It takes the hassle out of developing React-based web apps, allowing you to say goodbye to manually setting up routing, configuring middleware, or handling internationalization. Next.js streamlines these tasks, letting you focus on creating great user experiences without getting bogged down in setup.
Everything React can do, Next.js can do as well. History Next.js
Next.js was initially released as an open-source project on GitHub on October 25, 2016, and is maintained by Vercel. Google has also contributed to the project, with 43 pull requests in 2019 alone. By March 2022, Next.js had become widely adopted by major companies like Apple, Nike, Netflix, Uber, and Starbucks. In early 2020, Vercel raised $21 million in Series A funding to further enhance the framework and support its continued development.
